Adelaide Plastic Surgery has an array of machinery that would not sound out of place in a sci-fi movie. We have equipment such as the Norseld dual-yellow copper bromide laser, a Candela V-beam flash-pumped pulsed-dye laser and the neodynium:yttrium aluminium garnet (Nd:YAG) laser. (And you thought cars had complex names.)
For skin resurfacing treatments ranging from superficial to deep peels, we use the Sciton Contour Resurfacing laser. This unique machine gives our surgeons micron-precision over the depth of ablation and coagulation, so they can plane down wrinkles externally whilst internally stimulating the dermal collagen matrix to firm the skin and add resilience.
For fractional resurfacing and the treatment of conspicuous scars, we have what is considered to be the gold standard of CO2 lasers: the Lumenis Aesthetic UltraPulse, with a long history of leading the way in this field.
Now, if that’s all just double-dutch, don’t worry. After a thorough examination of the problem and discussing what you want to achieve, our doctors and nurses will advise which will work best for you.
