Double Chin Treatment
Submental fullness, more commonly known as a “double chin”, is a common area of concern for both men and women. Weight changes aren’t necessarily always to blame for having fullness under the chin, sometimes it is simply due to genetics. For some, diet and exercise may not be enough to move the stubborn area of fat. If this sounds familiar, then our non-surgical, fat dissolving treatment may be for you.
We’re all about you, your journey, your way.
This treatment is a non-surgical option to target and minimise submental fullness under the chin. One of our experienced injecting nurses will first mark up the intended treatment area, then administer the product through a series of injections into the subcutaneous fat under the chin. This solution is a prescription only medication and contains an active ingredient, which naturally occurs within the body and aids in the breakdown of fat.
Every face is unique, and so are the doses required to treat individual faces. Many people notice visible improvements and chin contouring after two treatments, however, up to 6 treatments may be administered. Each treatment is spaced 4 weeks apart and is relatively quick, taking approximately 15-20 minutes to complete with no need for general anaesthesia.
Due to regulatory restrictions we are not able to name this product on our website however, should you call and enquire, we will be happy to discuss this product over the phone.
There are a number of contributing factors to consider before deciding if this treatment is right for you. We offer complimentary consultations with one of our experienced nurse injectors, during which time they will determine if you are a suitable candidate, and establish a treatment plan based on your desired outcome.
As this product is a prescription medication, you will also meet face to face with one of our specialist plastic surgeons. That’s one of the key benefits of coming to Adelaide Plastic Surgery – not only are our surgeons available to write your prescription and review your treatment plan, there is the added comfort of knowing a surgeon is always on-site and accessible for their opinion and management if ever the occasion arises.
