After graduating from Flinders University in 1996, Darren interned at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, which led directly into surgical training. His early experience included rural surgery, colorectal and cardiothoracic surgery along with intensive-care medicine.
Darren then decided to concentrate on plastic and reconstructive surgery. He undertook training in every facet at all of South Australia’s major teaching hospitals. In 2006, he gained his Fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
Darren specialises in an array of Breast Surgery procedures that include Augmentation, Reduction and Lifting. He also has interests in Body Contouring and Abdominoplasty Surgery following significant weight loss.
His private practice encompasses a diverse range of plastic and reconstructive surgery, including skin cancer, hand surgery, craniofacial trauma and paediatric plastic surgery, as well as microsurgery, cosmetic and general reconstructive surgery.
Having grown up in country South Australia, he understands the needs of rural patients and is dedicated to helping them.
Whilst primarily based at Adelaide Plastic Surgery, Darren also consults at The Women’s & Children’s Hospital. He operates at The Memorial Hospital, Adelaide Day Surgery and Women’s & Children’s Hospital.
In partnership with his colleagues at Adelaide Plastic Surgery, he provides a comprehensive, 24/7 emergency plastic-surgical service.
